AAUW promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change. In principle and in practice AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. Our branch was chartered over 50 years ago, in the same year as the city of Pacifica was formed, and we have been serving and supporting the interests of women and girls in Pacifica since then. We support AAUW national programs, provide local scholarships, offer our community public policy and educational forums and build community and friendship through special interest groups and community involvement.
